PURAFIL
Corrosion Control
The Problem
Wastewater processes are dedicated to purifying water for release into the environment; processes that unwittingly create gaseous by-products. These by-products cause corrosive damage to sensitive electronic components in control and server rooms, HVAC systems, and control panels. Factor in aging equipment and infrastructure and the resultant decrease in uptime, and costly repairs or replacements, impact the bottom line.
OnGuard 4000
The OnGuard 4000 measures the overall reactivity level of air contaminants, temperature, and humidity in a controlled environment. Wall installation takes only minutes and data is accessible anytime, anywhere.
PK-12 and PK-18 Modules
This specialty design features a durable, adhesive-free construction with highly aerodynamic airfoil screens, easy access sampling ports, and our patented Posi-Track™ Purafil technology. Use in any new or retrofit application in a module- or cassette-based system to deliver a large amount of media capacity with zero off-gassing and the greatest efficiency.
Positive Pressurization Unit (PPU)
The PPU is self-contained, air scrubbing systems designed to provide pressurized and/or recirculated air, free of corrosive gases. It is ideal for removing air contaminants from controlled environments containing sensitive computer electronics and electrical equipment. Key application areas for a PPU include control rooms or rooms housing delicate equipment: data centers, telecommunication centers, laboratories, medical testing and treatment environments, mill control rooms, and other process industries.
Emergency Gas Scrubbing
The Problem
Facilities storing large quantities of chlorine must invest in emergency standby equipment to prevent accidental chemical releases. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Risk Management Program for Chemical Accident Release Prevention “requires regulated facilities to develop and implement appropriate risk management programs to minimize the frequency and severity of chemical plant accidents.”
Chlorine Drum Scrubber (CDS)
The CDS targets removal of low-level chlorine gas emissions found at industrial sites or water treatment plants. It is recommended for smaller air flow applications such as wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and residential areas. Constructed of corrosion-resistant materials and requiring essentially no maintenance, the DS can be used in remote outdoor areas or zones where high levels of acid gases are present.
Chlorosorb Ultra
Chlorosorb Ultra is especially formulated for use in Purafil’s emergency gas scrubbers to provide protection from a catastrophic release of chlorine gas from on-site storage. The removal capacity for chlorine gas is 15% minimum by weight and can remove chlorine gas from storage cylinders ranging from 150 pounds to one ton and higher.
Emergency Gas Scrubber (EGS)
An Emergency Gas Scrubber is designed to control catastrophic gas releases from 68 kg (150 lb.) to over 2,727 kg (6,000 lb.) while mitigating any risk to human lives in the surrounding communities. This scrubber prevents toxic chlorine (Cl2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), or ammonia (NH3) gas releases, resulting from a failure in the storage cylinder or system, by providing immediate removal of leaking gas. Nothing is more important than protecting the safety of the people living nearby.
Odor Control
The Problem
Municipal wastewater treatment facilities discharge odors as the result of the processes of collecting and treating wastewater. They are charged with treating air emissions and nuisance odors in compliance with environmental regulations.
Media Life Analysis
As a complimentary service, Purafil’s laboratory analyzes samples of media from your air scrubber to determine the remaining life. A date for replacement can then be scheduled to ensure the protected space is not exposed to gas breakthrough or media is replaced prematurely.
OdorCarb Ultra
Highly effective at removing 0.30 grams (g) of odorous hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) per cubic centimeter (cc) of media. This is the primary media for odor control systems in wastewater treatment applications.
WWT Drum Scrubber (DS)
The WWT Drum Scrubber (DS) is engineered to remove odorous gases generated at pump stations, lift stations, wet wells and similar wastewater treatment areas where odor control is desirable. Recommended for low-level applications, the DS offers complete odor control by using a combination of medias. Quiet operation and no maintenance ensures maximum flexibility and performance.
